Tracy Contrino

Founder and Executive Director

Tracy Contrino is the Founder and Executive Director of TheClusterfix, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists because, as the wife of a disabled veteran who wrestled the VA for 23 months to get his disability rating, Tracy experienced firsthand what millions of veteran families live through: inconsistent guidance, endless runarounds, and a drive from Maryland to North Carolina just to find someone who could give a straight answer. Rather than accept that as normal, she built the resource she wished had existed.

A Learning and Development professional with 25 years of experience, Tracy built her career as a senior project manager and director managing complex, multimillion-dollar portfolios for Fortune 500 clients including General Motors, IBM, HSBC, Novartis, MetLife, and Adobe. She has held director-level roles in both project management and L&D, leading cross-functional teams and driving enterprise-scale programs across industries. That same expertise in translating complexity into clarity is exactly what she applied when she designed, built, and launched Frank, TheClusterfix's free AI-powered navigation platform, from the ground up.

Tracy holds a Master of Education from Temple University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has authored articles which have appeared in the online publications of Training Industry and the PM Times, on AI-enabled learning, project management, and organizational strategy.

As Founder and Executive Director, Tracy established the legal and organizational foundation of TheClusterfix, manages the platform, directs content strategy, co-leads grant development and funder outreach, and oversees every operational function. She also creates original social media content several days a week to grow a veteran community that trusts what they find within the TheClusterfix brand.

Tracy is married to a combat veteran and together they share a blended family of five grown children. Her husband's journey as a disabled veteran, and everything their family navigated alongside him, is the founding inspiration behind TheClusterfix. Tracy volunteers weekly at a local horse rescue committed to saving neglected and abused horses, where she helps feed, groom, and care for the animals. At home, she tends to a small menagerie of dogs, cats, and reptiles that she describes as her sanctuary, though the animals have yet to formally acknowledge her authority. She enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and is currently experimenting with gardening, results of which remain inconclusive.
