Frank was designed to feel familiar and related to veterans. He was inspired by real veterans, built from qualities seen both in my husband and a composite of close friends to well-known entrepeneurs. A professional illustrator shaped that straight-talk, steadiness, and grit into a clear and approachable guide. Frank is your advocate; he's the sum of the traits that will help you find the next step.

TheClusterfix (the brand logo) was created in collaboration with a professional graphic artist to reflect not just a brand, but our values. Its design draws inspiration from the honor, valor, and tradition of military coins and badges, timeless symbols of service, strength, and integrity. Much like those emblems, our logo represents more than an image. It’s a mark of commitment, a standard we want to represent as we help bring clarity to the "cluster" that is the VA benefits system.

WHAT WE DO

TheClusterfix exists to take the confusion out of accessing veterans’ benefits. Through Frank, TheClusterfix removes barriers, reduces delays, and simplifies a system that often feels overwhelming and inconsistent. Through clear steps, practical tools, and straightforward resources, veterans and their families now have direction around the information they need — when they need it — to confidently navigate the VA system and/or benefits process.

TheClusterfix is awaiting it's 501(c)(3) status.

I’m Tracy, the creator of TheClusterfix and wife of a disabled veteran. It took my husband 23 months to get his disability rating; months of runarounds, mixed answers, and dead ends. At one point, he drove from Maryland to North Carolina because a vet-friend said a VA advocate there was top-notch. That’s not okay. The benefits our families earn should be streamlined and clear, not a road trip and a scavenger hunt.

The confusion cost us thousands of dollars, time we can’t get back, and strain on our family. Many of our friends faced the same challenges. I’m grateful these benefits exist, but getting them shouldn’t be a second battle.

I work in tech, where AI is making information more accessible. I’m using that experience to build TheClusterfix: plain-language guidance, clear checklists, realistic timelines, and one place to track what’s next so veterans and families can finally move forward with confidence.

Why is Frank's help free?

Because it should be. As a nonprofit, TheClusterfix is built to make sure veterans always have free access to clear, trustworthy support. We partner with veteran organizations, employers, and donors who fund this work so that no veteran ever has to pay—especially for crisis resources, which will always remain free.

What does Frank actually do?

Frank helps organize timelines, checklists, and reminders so paperwork and benefits don’t fall through the cracks. We don’t give legal advice or act as your representative. Instead, we make sure you know what’s next and nothing gets missed.

Can my spouse or caregiver use Frank?

Absolutely. Frank was designed for families. Spouses, caregivers, and children are all part of the mission.

What if I need help Frank doesn't cover?

If it’s outside our scope (like legal representation or urgent crisis services ) we’ll connect you to accredited, trusted resources that can step in.
